      The gov't needs to take some responsibility for the big 3 auto problems. Look at all the legislation on safety, EPA, mileage, labor laws, taxes,etc etc.

      I account for increase because of the minimum wage increase in July. The spending decrease was because everyone got a stimulus package in the previous quarter. Maybe that's too simple!

      It is another economic cycle. The prepared will come out better, the ill-prepared will come out worse. If you have a job, at least six months of income in savings, and no credit card debt - I'd put you the prepared category.
