      Deflation Dementia
Umm, Carey Jim: The "invisible hand" that is talked about in Economics has nothing to do with a belief in God. It is a term used to describe the various market forces at work. I've not read any Economist (or Minister) claiming that we should just sit around and wait for God to sort everything out. We all have a responsibility for our own actions, thoughts, beliefs and reasoning.

However, God is in complete control of what happens and promises to provide for those who accept Jesus Christ as their savior and Lord. So you are 100% incorrect in stating that God does not direct the affairs of men.

But, these facts are found in the Bible and not in any "free market" textbook. I think that you are attempting to argue against a point that has not been made, because you do not have an answer for the mess that we currently find ourselves in. I really didn't expect to find someone using their atheistic beliefs to push their economic views (even though you really never stated your views, or a possible solution).

Voice Search: A New Age Has Dawned
This option is currently available with Windows Live Search on all Windows Mobile devices! Apple/Google are finally catching up (although the iPhone has a long way to go)!

Crop of New Smartphones Will Compete With iPhone
Actually, the iPhone is not now, or ever has been the best PPC on the market. HTC holds that claim - first with the Kaiser (aka AT&T Tilt), and now with the Touch Pro & Touch HD. Apple has A LOT of work to do before the iPhone can be taken seriously as a competitor among "power users" to the HTC lineup (although Apple has won the ever so important marketing battle)!

Falling Gasoline Prices Push Consumer Prices Down
Hey Still Renting - you are 100% correct. People look at me very strangely when I tell them this. At least someone else holds this view.

Greenspan On Current Meltdown: Interview with an Arsonist
Excellent article as usual. Greenspan will subscribe to any foolish theory in order to avoid blame. He is now calling for things that he never had the guts (or foresight) to do himself!

Five Trends to Watch in Mobile Devices
The iphone? Actually, it seems like he is describing a high-end WM device! Apple really just copied existing smart phone technology and stuck in an ipod (which still won't transmit over stereo bluetooth)! But since they market so well, and the phone is thin people are willing to overlook the myriad of bugs in the device.

      Cellphone Showdown: Meet the GPhone
I don't think the Dream will be an underdog for long. HTC currently makes the most powerful Pocket PC's worldwide, and many people have been waiting for an "Android" phone. Too bad this is on T-mobile and not A&T.

      The Garage Sale Indicator
That is a good point steveross. I guess the metric could be deflated by the increase in craigslist usage in general.

Apple's 3G iPhone Has Some Kinks to Resolve
The iphone is with peers? We will all be using an "iphone-type"... device? Does this guy realize that there were smart phones and pocket pc's around before the iphone? The iphone has not added anything new to the smart phone/ppc battle (except first rate marketing)! It is not the most powerful, the memory cannot be upgraded, it cannot be customized, it doesn't allow full GPS functionality, the camera is sub par, you can't use a stereo BT headset, etc. I could go on and on, but there are plenty of sites that have done comparisons (with the actuals specs, not just preferences) between various WM6 phones and the iphone. Phones by HTC, Nokia, and Sony are much more powerful overall devices than the music/video playing iphone!

But I guess that Apple's clever marketing (those guys should all get raises!) has everyone thinking that they are offering something new, exciting, and different; but you are really just getting an iPod Touch that can make calls.
