The games highlights of Gamescom 2018

Anno 1800

Publisher: Ubisoft

gameplay: The German studio Blue Byte puts in his new construction strategy game of the popular Anno series this time the reverse gear. Marvel’s Spider-Man

Publisher: Insomniac Games

gameplay: The new Spider-Man adventure shows a Peter Parker who has the fate of 9 million New Yorkers in his hands – but at the same time is always thrown off track by his chaotic private life.

The open-world spectacle also shows familiar characters, albeit in new roles. Pre-testers praise the simple controls, the excellent graphics, the diverse combat systems and the modified story, which is not at all based on the previous games, but still captivates.

Devil May Cry 5

Publisher: Capcom

gameplay: Capcom promises that the next part of the monster action series will be “more spectacular than ever” thanks to the new RE engine. This time it’s about a demonic invasion.

Three demon hunters should save humanity. The young Nero allies himself with the weaponsmith Nico. Between boss fights and family dramas emerges also the ex-main character Dante again. Red Grave City is warned!

FIFA 19

Publisher: Electronic Arts

Gameplay: The football classic goes into the next round. It is played in the Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup. In addition to the career mode, there is a Champions League mode or you simply choose your European favorite team.

EA has improved the ball guidance with the new Active Touch system, the publisher promises greater game flow. The tactic system has also been adjusted. As a bonus, there is the third and final part of the story mode “The Journey”, in which you accompany the career of the young star Alex Hunter. FIFA 19 is officially licensed by UEFA and includes the “real” trophies, coats of arms and balls.

Forza Horizon 4

Publisher: Microsoft

Resident Evil 2

Publisher: Capcom

Gameplay: The horror game in a new edition – based on the original template on PS from 1998. The development team has re-realized the game from scratch, from the over-the-shoulder perspective.

The story is likely to be known to genre fans: young policeman Leon S. Kennedy and student Claire Redfield investigate the zombie epidemic in Racoon City. A scary experience. Which should also be topped by Cancom with a special edition for hardcore fans. It costs $ 900.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
