It can also be used to photograph texts or to import documents from Dropbox, Google Drive and iCloud for reading. Importing from OneDrive, Box and Safari is also possible with Speechify.

The developer promises that the app works accurately in about 50 languages ​​up to 98 percent.

The new podcast app Swoot takes a different approach than well-known and proven applications such as Pocket Casts (here: iOS / here: Android) Castro (iOS only) or Overcast (iOS only). Swoot wants to make it easier to find good podcasts with a social media approach. You’ll see in the app which podcasts are currently listening to and sharing your contacts. You can also connect to your Twitter contacts after the fresh update or look for Facebook friends who use Swoot.

Nevertheless, it is of course possible to search for podcasts in Swoot. Own categories such as “trending podcasts” make it easier to find. You can also download content so you can listen on-the-go without straining the data volume in offline mode.

To use the login with your Facebook or Google account or alternatively via e-mail address is required. So we would be the only problem of the app: Your friends must also use swoot to recommend podcasts to you. The community of this new app has to grow so that many of your contacts are on board.

Puzzle games are among the most popular applications in the app stores – and with Orixo there is a new insider tip. The gameplay is fast understood, challenging, but also relaxing. On the field you have to fill all tiles with colors according to given numbers. Sounds easy, but the right order of wiping gestures is required.

Originally, the developers provided 240 levels of minimalist-designed levels. This week there were 80 more levels as a bonus via update. If you can not manage the 320 levels in the free app without help, you can access 20 free tips. If you look at a banner, you get 8 more hints. There are unlimited hints for 1.99 euros in-app, banner ads can be booked for 2.29 euros.

For a long time, Orixo will not be an insider tip, because even the very meditative soundtrack will draw you into this tricky game …

UVLens – UV Index

Some weather apps also show, among other things, the UV index. But this application focuses on this one topic: it informs you with a minimalist screen about how high the sunburn danger is. Under “My Skin”, gender, eye and skin color, hair color and number of freckles can be entered beforehand. Five flame symbols would be displayed if the sunburn hazard is extremely high. Corresponding gradations up to zero flames show that the sunburn hazard is banned or smaller. A widget completes the compact information.
